Hi, I'm Dr. Say (Sarah) Kerner.
I became a doctor because I wanted to help people. But to be honest with you, psychology was always my "first love". For as long as I can remember, I've been interested in understanding people and learning why they do what they do. What I didn't expect was how much those two worlds of psychology and medicine would need each other.
After nearly 15 years in medicine, I started noticing something: People weren't leaving appointments lacking information, they were leaving lacking space. Space to ask questions, understand nuance, and feel like someone actually understood their situation. So I stopped waiting for the system to create that space. And I started building it myself.
In 2025, I launched What We Wish You Knew - a series of live community events bringing expert doctors and everyday people together to talk about health honestly and openly. The goal was simple: give people the reliable, evidence-based information they actually deserve to have, so they could feel clear, confident, and connected when navigating their health and lives.
And the mission is growing - to reach a wider community, and to create spaces for physicians who went into medicine for the same reasons I did, and need a place to remember that.
